A little about me

Judith - on a sunny evening at Taigh Chearsabhagh

Drawing, oserving, looking from an early age, with a keen interest in the weather, the night sky, geology, wildlife, botany and always inquisitive.

After training to teach - with art as a main subject, I spent many happy years in technical and academic publishing with drawing, and painting as an interest - sidelined in a busy life.

20 years of visiting the Outer Hebrides eventually resulted in moving here almost 20 years ago.

I will be fulltime with my creative work from March 2018 - contemporary and strong watercolours, and developing skills in oils, along with work in other media.  I also offer a range limited edition prints of selected originals.

Art greetings cards are available at the gallery and in local retail outlets on the islands - including the shop on St Kilda!

Much of what I offer can be easily sent mail-order.

Original work is available from my gallery and will occasionally feature on this website, but is usually snapped up pretty quickly.

My work is available on North Uist at my gallery/studio - a bespoke conversion of a shipping container (more salubrious than it sounds!)

Please see the Information Menu on the Home page and click on Visiting westside gallery to find out opening times, location etc..
