westside gallery - in a shipping containerInside westside galleryWestside flags

westside gallery is my own gallery and workspace in a light and airy, bespoke conversion of a new shipping container.

Complete with windows looking out across the common grazings, the Heskier Islands, and the Atlantic Ocean beyond, it is a lovely space in which to paint and display my work.

If you can only come in the morning, I am usually around  - give me a ring just to check.

Where is westside gallery?

A road round runs right round the coast of North Uist, and westside gallery is on the western side of the island.

1km north of Bayhead Shop (general store, fuel, bread, fresh meat, fruit, vegs etc.) and 1.5km south of the turning for the RSPB's Balranald Reserve.

You can't miss it. Look out for the chickens and the banner flags.

Do not rely on your sat nav to find me. I will lead you astray! Stick to the main road that runs up the west side, and don't go on a wild goose chase down the Paible loop.

There is plenty of parking, but if you have a campervan I would really appreciate it if you could park in the Passing Place opposite the gate, to allow access for our tractor and other croft machinery.

Please call in if you are on the Outer Hebrides- I look forward to seeing visitors.
